“When I ran for office that’s one of the things I wanted to do is create a Parks and Recreation Department, there’s a lot of things that we needed to bring about in the tribe, which are slowly evolving, we’re doing a little at a time but it’s time that we create this department so that we can have a full fledge number of people to look after it, cut it, paint it, whatever we got to do … for all of our tribal parks, all of our recreational areas and powwow grounds. We have to start progressing, and we’ll bring more things in front of the tribal council so that we can progress,” Wassana said. The meeting adjourned at 11:54 a.m.Lucky Star Casino Watonga Okla

This legacy project includes the addition of a five-story hotel comprised of 80 guest rooms, a hospitality suite, full-service restaurant, a 300-person capacity conference center, retail space, and a gaming floor with accommodations for 400 slot machines. This iconic build will be a “Castle on the Prairie” representing the spirit of the project and cultures of the Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribes. The estimated completion is approximately 18 months with a grand opening slated for the summer of 2020. The front entrance canopy is inspired by the Cheyenne & Arapaho seal and the entrance lobby incorporates a stylized tipi with a sculptural ceiling element resembling fire and smoke. Traditional colors and patterns utilized throughout the design.
